The Manse was a phased project over around 9 years.
The first objective was to make it habitable, then complete the rest of the rooms. When purchased, it was in Church of Scotland “wind and watertight” condition, however, other than semi regular maintenance, it appeared the last work carried out was the installation of the “new” kitchen in 1977 (installed by H M Raitt & Sons!!!).
The works involved a complete strip, renewal of all services, major structural works to create the modern day living / dining / kitchen. Where possible existing features were retained or re-used / refurbished (original wc, cast iron bath, shutters, fireplaces etc).
The house was featured in various magazines and websites, most recently The Scotsman Homes section.
